The problem
People search Etsy for budget planners, wedding planners and small-business bookkeeping sheets every day. Most listings show a blank grid or a stock mockup, so buyers can't tell how the sheet works until after they pay.
We wanted a shop of Google Sheets templates that buyers could see working before they bought, with a website that helps them pick the right one.
What we built
GetPlanly is our own product. We set up the brand, the Etsy shop, the Pinterest account and getplanly.com, and we run all of it.
Each template has a demo copy filled with the same sample household, and every photo, video and pin is made from those real sheets. The website has a page and a tutorial for each template, a quiz that suggests one, comparison tables and nine free calculators that send people to the shop.

What took the most work

Listing assets for 39 products
Puppeteer and ffmpeg scripts make the 2000×2000 photos and listing videos, the 3-page buyer PDF with a QR code, share images and 1000×1500 Pinterest pins. Key content stays clear of Etsy's carousel arrows.

Sample data that matches everywhere
Apps Script fills every demo sheet with the same repeatable data. Long fills save their place and pick up on the next run, because Apps Script stops scripts after a few minutes.

One builder for three wedding tiers
The Lite, standard and Ultimate wedding planners come from a single Apps Script blueprint, and the holiday line reuses its parts. Each supports 12 currencies.

Links that never go stale
The button in each buyer PDF goes to a getplanly.com link that forwards to Google's copy screen. When a template gets updated, we change where the link points and every PDF already sold gets the new version.
Where it is now
The shop has 39 listings, each with a video, and templates run $4.99 to $14.99. The site has structured data on every calculator and tutorial, and a free 2027 calendar for building an email list. New lines get added for weddings, holidays and the new year.
