TrustArc is a San Francisco privacy compliance technology company. Its platform helps corporations update their privacy management processes so they comply with government regulations and best practices, from mapping how personal data flows through a business to running privacy and vendor risk assessments.
As UI Lead and Engineering Manager since 2017, Jonathan leads the user interface across the platform (Toolkit, Dashboard, Onboarding, Data Inventory Hub, Assessment Manager and Intelligent System) and owns the UI technology stack, while managing and mentoring the engineering team.
What Jonathan did
- Leads the UI for Toolkit, Dashboard, Onboarding, Data Inventory Hub, Assessment Manager and Intelligent System
- Owns the UI stack: reusable web elements, the Redux pattern, Angular, React, TypeScript, ES6, HTML5 and SCSS
- Designs new application architecture and keeps the UI stack current, while maintaining legacy AngularJS
- Turns product requirements into plans the engineering team understands, with product and engineering management
- Hires, mentors and manages engineers: weekly 1:1s, monthly team meetings and code reviews
